Waiting for Spring

Spring well-being

With less than a month of winter left, our thoughts move to the positives of lighter evenings, a return to warmer days - aside from the occasional shower - and the chance to spend more time out-and-about.

A new year’s resolution that has kept us going this long may gain new energy from nature in the months ahead, so this is perhaps a time to build on what we have started?

Every season brings opportunities to pause for a while and connect with a range of experiences, consider what they tell us about our own well-being: the most impossibly fragile flowers return after the hardest winters as if they have not grown through the chill of frozen soil.

National walking month

This week, I was looking back through some old photographs and thought about a holiday I had once enjoyed in San Francisco.

Water can bring so much calm. Whether it is the sound of a gentle ripple, lapping a bank, the effortless glide of a passing swan, or the glassy reflection, holding the whole scene in its silky lens, these are few things I enjoy experiencing.

Why not step out for your own wellbeing walk, this national walking month and find your favourite calming lake, energetic stream, or something completely different and share your wellbeing experience?

Take care, near water.
